Dr Michael Malaty is a cardiologist with a special interest in heart rhythm disorders and the management of cardiac devices.

He completed his specialist cardiology training at Blacktown Hospital then pursued advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation, completing a two-year fellowship at John Hunter Hospital. He followed this by a further year of specialist training at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, in the United Kingdom — one of the world’s leading centres for cardiac and thoracic medicine. He is currently completing a PhD focused on management of atrial fibrillation.

With expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, Dr Malaty provides comprehensive care for patients with conditions including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and other arrhythmias, as well as those requiring cardiac device management. He is passionate about providing personalised, evidence-based care and helping patients understand their heart condition and treatment options.
